For this purpose the Son of God was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8
As children of God we are made of the incorruptible seed of God. And it says, “if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ he is none of His.” Romans 8:9 Then if we know we are saved, we know we have Christ living in us [Colossians 1:27]. And that we are the temple of God and the Spirit of God dwells in us. [1 Corinthians 3:16] Then Christ is constantly seeking through whom He may continue to do His work.
He says, “greater is He who is in you than He who is the world.” 1 John 4:4 That we may know that He who lives in us is more than a match for anything that is the world.
He says many in that day will say, “Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name? And I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:22-23
It is not by their own power they have done these works, but in His name. Even though these have not done what is required first, but because they were willing to use His name to destroy the works of the devil, God did not withhold His hand. Because to destroy the works of the devil is His mission and He will work it through whomever is willing.
Then the hindrance is us, if He has shown His willingness to do wonders, even through those whom He would have to turn away at the end. Then the issue is not holiness nor any other conditions but just being willing and obedient.
Then if that is the case as son’s and daughter’s how much more willing must we be AND how much more is He willing to work through us, when He is already living in us. If you are saved Christ is in You, and if He is in you, know He wants to destroy the works of the devil, then it is a matter of stretching your hand to let Him to do just that.
[Faith = Christ is in you.]
“As you go, preach saying, ‘The kingdom of God is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the leapers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”
Matthew 10:7-8
“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Mark 16:17-18
